Checking them everyday is pretty overboard. If you worry about them that much, you're better off going back to a normal wheel. I've ran beadlocks for about 50,000 miles so far and had one loose bolt, ever. After 3 sets of tires.

I have seen some horrifying pictures of split rim accidents that scorched my brain years ago they are extremely dangerous if you are not trained.

Split rims and bead locks are completely different, it's very easy to put bead locks together

Yes you are right but they are similar and have the same dangers my point was if one is not familiar with the safety precautions they can be dangerous I have been an aircraft technician fore 15 years so I know what the difference is

I love the look of the beadlock wheel (my personal favorite of all the wheels to be honest) and I like the flexibility to convert them if the need arises (you just need the 4 rings which you can get for about $125 each delivered). They obviously would come in handy in the sand, deep snow or rougher (slower) off roading. The only thing that has stopped me from converting them as of now is the off-road only use stamped on them. Not illegal to use on the road (at least in most states) but the potential liability in this day and age has to be considered (and some shops won't even work on them).

I agree it is the best looking factory wheel choice. I liked the first gen Raptor wheels, but not the second.

I like having them and like them.

However, I end up in the sand a few times per year (Glamis) and knowing I can air down with less risk of losing a bead makes me feel that much safer.

I've been stuck (in other vehicles) in sand, and it sucked. I hate digging and pushing, but mostly, I don't like the helplessness feeling.
