My rear bumper made it a month without rusting. Powder coating is a joke compared to linex

Chips due to road debris rarely happens at just the edges.

Proper powder coating should be a great protection against rust. If not then this is just poor quality control.

Would be great to see a response from ADD and hear what they guarantee about their product. This post is very welcome. Totally changed my mind about getting one...

Ps.. I know I’m stating the obvious for many but in case some is new to the concept;
Touch up paint for powder coating is... well.... just paint and nothing but a cover up. Powder coating is BAKED on.

Controlled Thermal Technologies is in Phoenix (I have used them in the past.) ADD should have the bumpers sent there for salt bath nitriding first before sending them out. We could then Linex them anywhere we are in the country when they arrive if we wanted extra protection and cost. These two things together would mean you could throw the bumpers in the ocean for 50 years and they would not rust. ADD, quit being cheap and include some grade A8 bolts or stainless steel bolts (Made in the USA of course) as well. I read the comment that bumpers made 7 or 8 years ago are holding up good. As ADD has gotten bigger the bean counters may have gotten a hold of things and cut corners.
