You're always thinking, Greg, and I really admire you for that.
But this is a $1500 idea or thereabouts. To me, that's a lot to pay for lighting that you can't use on the street where you spend most of your driving time.

Just thinking out loud.. So many ideas, so little time, money, raptors

Do ya think the D2s would really be bright enough Greg? I dunno...

Also, DO NOT use that metal bar. It may be solid to the grill, but its not part of the support structure when it comes to tieing the grill to the body/frame (obviously). The gitter/rattle would be out of control with any weight on that thing.

To see what I mean, try this: Make sure the hood is down and latched and take your palm and whack the middle of the grill, lower down where your center light would be. Not hard enough to break anything, but hard enough to give it a good jolt, kinda like what your suspension will take (absorbing most but not all of the hit) when off road at speed. What happens to the entire grill?

Hey GJMcManus

Have you seen our setup for the Ford raptor with either one 20" stealth led light bar or two if you want even more light, and the optics are all user interchangeable to customize for your liking. Each of our 20" stealth led light bars put out 7,000 lumens with a lifetime warranty on our products. Plus forum members get 10% off

Heres a few pics. Let me know if you have any questions at all id be glad to help or give me a call.

the night shots are of only one led light bar, can either put in one or two.

Even if I could fit these?View attachment 9201 it probably wouldn't be enough light.. Used d2 as an example... Vision x, and others have the same form factor that would fit into that space.

Yes, I saw that today when I was out with slide ruler and tape measure.. Possibly having WSI fab a bracket (same mounting point as behind grill led bar) to hold the lights upside down and forward bias them so the fit through the grill..

How fast is your avg offroad speed and top speed?

Drive like a grandma (according to madcowranch and WSI). I have no problem pushing rollcage speeds in my Raptor.

Looking for a more stealthy lighting option without being behing the grill.

Thought of led bar inside windshield like police cars. But the glare would be unmanagable. All above windshield mounts are noisy and awkward looking (in my opinion).

I think that first pic looks sweet. I want a roof mount so bad cause they look badasssss! That whole drill into the roof thing has me crying like a bitch though! For me I'm thinking a set of Rigid 4 " around the front plate my duallies and some evil eye Ducati's would be the E ticket!

After some suggestions I went back and whipped up another "incredible" photoshop...

Using 6 4" 50-WATT SOLSTICE PRIME LED LIGHT both 20 degree and 40 degree lights... With an aproximate 25,800 lumens (each prime is rated at 4300 lumens) Each solstice prime has 5 10 watt led for a total of 30 10 watt leds..

Mounting on the upper grill there is only space for 6 4" led lights because of amber lights and grill supports.. Would be able to use factory mounting points for the grill with minimal amount of fab work (metal and tabs) to make it work..

Comments, suggestions, etc welcome...

I like the first idea better. This second pic take to much away from the Raptor Grill which is one of it's main trademarks...

Not my cup-o-tea:

Definitely my cup-o-tea: I'd try to figure out a way to mount these on the bumper and not integrate them into the grill.
