2018 Ford Raptor Front Differential broke in the snow they say that Ford may not cover it?

I agree pull the front drive shaft and drive her home in 2wheel. I had to do it once in high school.

When mine broke , i drove it 400 miles back home. Yes there was some popping going on but nothing that wasn't already broke. As long as your hubs disengages. If you have anything that makes your front taller(3.0 struts, spacers, springs) you will want to go back to stock b4 taking it up there.

As far as the damage, you said the front differential “popped” and then you slid into a ditch? If the front differential was still working at that point, what made the truck slide?

As the others have mentioned, you should be able to get it home by driving in 2WD. In that mode the transfer case and IWEs are disengaged, so the front differential won’t be turning.

I was on a Elk hunt in Montana and was trying to get off of the mountain when the front differential popped while accelerating up a hill. After it popped It slipped down into a ditch and my front tire was punctured. I had to change the tire in 30in of snow and it took me 6 1/2 hours to get off of the mountain. There was a grinding noise in the front differential up until I got up to highway speed when the noise stopped. I drove the truck to a hotel and when I got up the next morning and the truck started the grinding again but worse. I went to the closest Ford dealership and they told me that they couldn't help me and that they were three weeks behind. They suggested I go somewhere else. I was driving to the dealer they suggested when the front diff made a loud noise and the truck floorboard banged. I limped it in the last couple of miles. They say the front diff came apart and that it has a hole in it. I talked to my local dealer and they said they have seen this before and have covered it. I have 61,170 miles and have the best ford extended warranty. I do not off road this truck except while hunting and they are saying that it may not be covered under warranty. I bought the best 4wd pickup that Ford sells and they don't want to cover it? I need some advice on what to do. I am 1300 miles from home and they gave me an estimate of $4477 plus tax.

Yup. The Raptor will take up two spaces in a transport. My quote for a 1500 mile haul on an out of state purchase was $3500.

i shipped my truck from chicago area to a residential address in las vegas for $1100..

Update on my truck, The warranty department sent out an inspector and they denied the claim for something that did not happen and is not even possible. They are stating that they think the broken differential is from an outside impact and not from an internal parts failure. When the inspector came out they had already removed my skid plate so he assumed something hit it. I have had the service manager at the shop explain to them that there was a skid plate and it was not damaged. He told them that it couldn't have been hit but even after me escalating it and talking to two different people at the warranty company they just read the computer screen that says denied. I talked to a Ford customer service rep who also talked to the service manager and all he could say was sorry and he offered me 1800 toward the repair. I told him I want to speak to someone higher up with ford. We will see what happens.

I have told them that I am not going to just bend over. I want the denial and reason in writing. They said for me to get it from the dealership. I told them that my contract is with them and if they are denying a covered part that I want the reason for denial in writing. They put me on hold and then sent me to their survey. I own three Ford's and have spent over 200k at their dealerships in the last 3 years, but unless they change their mind I am done.
