2018 Ford Raptor Front Differential broke in the snow they say that Ford may not cover it?

I am hoping that the Ford ESP will cover it. The service rep said she wasn't sure they would and that the technician thinks I over torqued it. She made me give her authorization for the repair in case the warranty declines to pay before she would order parts.

I guess I'm missing this as well, they believe you over-torqued what?

Because in the linked case, the owner significantly modified the suspension and Ford attributed the failure to non-OEM parts and modified angles.

Is that the case here? I see nothing about mods.
No I don't see that either, but it seems to me Ford is in the business of denying every fix they possibly can.

Check vacuum lines to Front wheel actuators . With engine running and vacuum pulling, actuators should be disengaged and not rotate the front CV axles . Make sure you don't have vacuum leak, i suspect you do crappy plastic lines . Pull drive shaft form transfer case to front diff. Drive that sucker home .

It can seem like that, but I think the real problem is that Ford has no control over their dealers, so the good ones are good because they want to be that way. It says Ford on the sign and Ford on the door, but FMC doesn't do **** if they're dishonest sleazebags. It's a failure on the part of FMC to set up an effective incentive system. Did you wonder why the first dealer had a three-week backlog and the second got him right in? The locals know where to go. Or where not to go. And the first dealer had no reason to take care of him quickly because he's an out of towner. Breaking down on the road and having to take potluck at the local Ford dealer is a nightmare of mine. Heck, having to use my local Ford dealer again is a nightmare of mine. I do know that if a Ford dealer denies me a reasonable warranty claim they sure as hell are not going to be given the opportunity to overcharge me for the repair. I'll go to an indie shop first.

I don’t see anyone transporting that truck 1300 miles one way for $600. Fuel cost alone one way is ~$400. If it’s a professional insured shipper with a single load it would be 2.5-3x that.

Yup. The Raptor will take up two spaces in a transport. My quote for a 1500 mile haul on an out of state purchase was $3500.

Check with your insurance co. Does your policy have a mechanical breakdown/towing clause?
Maybe you can get it back to your dealer on them.
I would still have the truck towed and wouldn't trust the dealer you're at.
