Only had my 2019 for a week and I have 2 questions:

- I told my dealer not to install the front plate bracket and they did anyway. Bastards. I don't see anyway to remove it. It looks like the bracket is held in by 2 rivets to the bumper and not normal screws. Anyway, to remove it without cutting it off?

- Also, I noticed the compartment in front of the shifter has a light in it that never seems to go off. Anyway to turn it off?

Thank you!

The light In the compartment goes off eventually, but if you keep it closed I think it stays off, not 100% sure on that

Just checked and indeed the light is off. I was wondering as it stays on a few mins after you lock the doors and even stays on after all the interior light goes off.

Thank you!

I just put new license plates on mine this weekend, appears the front plate bracket is indeed riveted on. Suspect you would need to drill them out to remove.

Drill out the two rivets..

The compartment light is connected with the ambient lighting so if the cupholders are lit, the compartment light will be on.

I used a set punch & mallet- here’s a lil tip tho, that front bumper is steel & is probably one of the more rust prone parts of the truck, that “wings” on either end that meet against rubber weatherstripping have some PPF on em from the factory, but rubbing still occurs between the unprotected section of the bumper & rubber & most raptors start developing rust spots where the paint has rubbed off

This observation lead me to take some primer (or touch up paint etc) & dabbed on end of a q-tip & coated the insides of those plate holes b/c 10000% they’d start rusting mid-winter here in New England & while
I’m sure it’d take forever to rust through I’m also sure it would “bleed rust” down the front of the bumper on the reg
