Im in the same boat. Looking to get more into AZRR runs too. Not real familiar with gps in general when it comes to off roading. My daughter's boyfriend is a rally racer and uses the GAIA gps program. I downloaded it to an 8" LG tablet with GPS capabilities and it seems like the real deal. About...
Thanks MPK. What noticeable to differences did you see that you can attribute to the stage 1 & Flutter stack? Does it make a big difference on whooped out roads? That would be worth the extra cost right there.
Hi Noah, When in May are you coming through? Kind of a busy month for me, but lets hook up. Maybe burn some beef & a cocktail.
I might take you up on the offer, depending on what I decide. Or I might take them to SDHQ here in town. They are a whole lot less, but dont have the upgrade options...
Greetings and Salutations
Looking for opinions on the difference, if stage 1 is worth it, etc. Im pushing 75000 miles and about due for a shock rebuild. I picked up a set of used front shocks for $180 and am looking to do more than just reseal them. Looked on Forged Offroad's site and went...
I had Noah @thecarstereocompany help me with my install. He said he doesnt replace the factory speaker wires, just ties into the factory wires after the amp to a processor, amp(s) and back through the factory wires to the speakers, except for the subs. And he does some high end installs in...
I took my truck in to the dealer Friday for the Trans recall, with 72000 miles I had them service the trans too. So today I decided to change he Transfer case fluid. Should be good for the summer now.
Good to know. I had a killer deal available, but I had the feeling there was a reason it was so cheap ($150). I suppose it would still be a good deal for the angler who just wants to check out the fish in the lake. Oh well.
Thanks TR. I dont know if the Gen 2 can download maps via SD card, and the seller says its above his skill set and doesnt know either. I know the HDS Gen 3 can. That said, which model is the most common Lowrance model used in the weekend warrior off road community? I'm thinking the unit I'm...
Greetings and Salutations,
I have an opportunity to pick up a used Lowrance HDS-7 GEN 2 (NOT HDS 7m, not Touch) for pretty cheap. I'm just getting in to off road GPS and the idea of picking up a unit I can switch on to my boat is intriguing. But I wont use it very often so I cant justify the...
I dont know about Gen 2 or the stealth bumper skid plate, but I have a Venom bumper on my Gen 1 and I can get into it easy enough from the bottom on the side of the skid plate. Not as easy as the stock plate, but not that much of a problem to get to the filter.
Fun times today. Had to replace cv boots on one axle. Not a hard job just goopy. Also installed Hawk ceramic pads. Im hoping for some better brake performance.
X2 on the Gieser springs. I'm running them with National rear springs and the improvement is big over stock. Depending on how hard you intend to run it, look into the rear bump stop kit with frame reinforcement kit.
For the mod you can enjoy every day, AUDIO!!! Contact Noah at the...
Cool pics. Bet it was fun. I've been through Moab, but didn't have time to explore. On my to do list now. Im surprised you had exhaust tips after that articulation pic. Thanks for sharing.
I'm in need of 1 outer boot so I might as well get 2. Do you have these in stock now? I'm local and was thinking of heading out that way tomorrow if you have them. But its a field trip from Glendale, so let me know
Thanks
Ya that sucks. My wheels are light gray, so unfortunately that takes me out of the market. Too bad, Im getting close to needing front pads. How are the ceramic pads in comparison?
