or start with lowrance and when you get too lazy to load satellite imagery all the time, switch to ios with leadnav (the 4g ipad).iOS with LeadNav app is what you should start with. Move to Lowrance when saving all the maps becomes too painful
You can email them and they will send instructions. I like it. I use a Quad lock mount, that attaches to a deal that fits in my cup holder. Phone hangs out and I mirror my phone on the screen. I just got the Gaia gps for my Iphone- But it also works on my ipad. What is VERY important is that you can download maps of the area you are going. 1 this saves data- 2 you do not need cell service. In NJ i find they have many of the forest fire roads listed. Now I'm just going to add an Ipad mount in the truck
