OMG WRONG! Cold air makes more power! the cooler the air, the more gas you can burn, more boost, more timing, etc. That's why race cars have huge intercoolers. Those shutters are for freezing conditions
Unless you live in the desert, there will always be condensation in the intake. Boosted or not. The problem with the eco ic is that it is a poor design the the condensation collects

While nothing in your statement is false, it is does not negate my statement.
Yes, cold air does make more power. Yes, the shutters do control radiator temperatures. Yes, there will always be condensation in the intake tract. Yes the IC design is the source of the issue.
Here are the facts:
Compressed air has more condensation
This condensation normally passes thought the engine and has little effect on the engine when introduced in small quantities.
Having the air charge exit the IC at the bottom increases the amount of moisture that enters the engine.
But here are some things your not considering:
The more you cool the air, the more condensation that will form.
Using electric fans controls the amount of air passing over the IC.
Using active grill shutters also controls the amount of air that passes over the IC (as you restrict the air flow, that air has to go somewhere).
Reducing the lower grill opening size and allowing it to be obscured by the front plate limits the amount of air passing over the IC.
This has allowed Ford to limit the amount of cooling for the IC. This will reduce the amount of condensation that forms. It may not be the most efficient method, but has so far been successful at solving the problem.
If anyone can show an example of a '15 or newer EB with the problem, I'll gladly admit that I'm wrong. Until then, Sasquatch can go **** himself.

i did respond to his OKcupid add. just waiting for a callback.
also thats a really nice well formed response and i appreciate it and i think you have some valid information. with that being said, the exact same kind of issue is presenting on another turbod 3.5 from the same company a year later and you dont think the issue may NOT be resolved? again i think because he is saying it you guys arent listening which is fine i dont care.
at the same time i would like all buttholes and women to be able to drive their vehicles without issues and it looks like beyond what quatch is saying no one else is really offering anything other than dont listen to him.
I stated that it was a problem for pre '15 EB. I'm speaking about the F150/Raptor. I don't know about other models, and honestly don't care, since we are talking about the Gen2 (since this is a Raptor forum and that's why we are here).
