I have, they are pulling it apart Thursday. Like I said before, my opinion is jaded right now and I'm not going to apologize for that. But your right I need to relax.

Thursday? Uh, what happened to Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday? I hope this means they are bringing in a special Rep to oversee the teardown, the delay is to accommodate your schedule, or they have ordered the seals and any necessary parts to complete your repair prior to starting on it. If they aren't starting until Thursday simply to accommodate their schedule this would not take me to my happy place, LOL.

My guess is that you have been 'red flagged' in the system. As soon as you give them you name at the dealership it flags the guys back at the plant to leave a spare bolt in your oil pan.

Here's hoping for a positive outcome!

Not my schedule, theirs. No parts ( like a new pan) ordered. I have to work so I won't be able to see when the pan gets pulled.

I tempted to push the bolt back in, put a 100 lb magnet on my oil pan and pretend none of this took place. Even though nothing has taken place. LOL

Unreal Hoverp. As someone who had a lemon lawed 2011 Silverado 2500HD and had ford buyback my 2013 Superduty Powerstroke with major paint issues before getting my 13 raptor I feel your pain. You get to the point of "screw it" with these expensive trucks and your hard earned money, lots of wasted time and headaches.

I hope for the best for you, keep us all updated.

I know I'm not going to be able to stop myself from pulling out a magnet this weekend when I change the oil on my 5,500 mile truck for it's second oil change.

I'm an "even keel" sort of guy. I rarely let people, or things get to me. When an issue arises, treat me with respect, recognize the gravity of the situation and make arrangements to resolve the problem post haste. Unless I'm misreading this, Ford, and your dealership has not put the priority towards the resolution of this that I would expect if I were in your shoes as a customer. I get that it's not catastrophic, but it sure could have been and from what you've posted, no one on their end seems to get that. I applaud you for handling this with dignity and self-respect. I hope resolution comes quickly. best of luck to you.
