Thursday? Uh, what happened to Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday? I hope this means they are bringing in a special Rep to oversee the teardown, the delay is to accommodate your schedule, or they have ordered the seals and any necessary parts to complete your repair prior to starting on it. If they aren't starting until Thursday simply to accommodate their schedule this would not take me to my happy place, LOL.

What happened to Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday?? Maybe the starter that was replaced in the little old ladies Lincoln happened, or maybe what happened was the F350 with the blown t-case waiting on parts was put back together, or maybe that single mom saving money for the last two months to replace the blown head gaskets on her mini van finally happened, or the turbo came in and was installed in the ambulance sitting out back... that could have happened... Or maybe what happened was the 100 other people that had appointments from days/weeks/months ago were being taken care of... Should we all drop what we're doing-**** all the people with appointments-just to fix one guys truck?? Those people won't care right, let us all re arrange our schedule for one guys truck. While we're at it, let's have the shop forman fire up the pixy dust generator so it can shit out a cloud for this guy to ride back home on.

It's a bolt in an oil pan. It's correction could be minor, could be "major." The fact truck buy back is being thrown around before ANYTHING has actually happened is hilarious. If this shit has you in a tizzy, I could only imagine the life changing event that would transpire if you took it off road and completely grenaded something.

Btw, my engine had a little ouchy boo-boo at a young age. I had two options: patch or replace. I decided patch and throttle down. It still gets its dirty on till this day.

Wow, over react much. Sheesh, I said waiting four days would not make me happy. I didn't go a a profanity laced tirade about the ineptitude of Ford or their techs. I have a great relationship with my dealer and the techs I've interacted with there they are fine people and treat me with respect as I do them. I get that work is scheduled on a first come basis and that's fair but waiting four days to have my truck looked at with a bolt sticking out of the oil pan would still not make me happy. And regardless of how you say it, "a bolt sticking out of the oil pan" is never going to be a minor issue IMO.

I just find it curious that there are so many people that have had multiple buy backs, and they are the ones that continue to have problems.

I run a fleet of 30 trucks, all Ford's except for two toyota Tacoma's, and I bought nearly every one of them brand new, and have only had one that gave me any significant ongoing problems, and that was because a wiring harness got pinched on assembly. They replaced the harness, and all is good. Of course, it took multiple trips in and a couple of stalls in traffic, but Ford made it good.
I am sure that I have bought and personally own more trucks than the majority of the people on this forum, and have never had a buy back. Usually Ford makes it good.

So I got home from work to meet the wrecker I called in from ford roadside assistance, and I had requested a flatbed from my regional service manager on the case and she said she would coordinate one for sure. but tow truck driver showed with a normal tow truck , he hooked it up backwards with the back wheels in the air and the truck in park. It was in 2wd but the front axels are engaged with no vacume. I know the transfer case was not engaged but I hope it was ok to tow that way. I asked him and he said I absolutely did not need a flatbed.

I just looked it up in our supplement. It shows on page 12 only a flatbed for towing. And on page 13 it says a flatbed is required!

And so it starts......
