That is gross...RW your landlord should replace the carpets at his expense. I am sure he already dinged the other tenants for the costs. I don't know what your lease says, but if we ever have pet damage, we take it from our tenants deposit. plus, since we allow Dogs, we get an additional deposit for tenants with dogs as well.
Lord knows what is in the carpets, the last thing I would want is your dog catching something and getting sick...people are gross...
BTW if you do place the the carpets anything you nail down becomes pert of the dwelling and should not be taken with your prior agreement. I.E. put it in the lease...

It is gross, we are the first tenants, it was an old couples vacation home. So it was severely neglected, but the property manager should have known better... I feel like its his first time to. And i wouldn't actually do that Fred. We don't allow pets at our rental.
We will be discussing our pet fee with them, because of what we moved into. She doesn't seem to mind though and hasn't tried to mark the spots or anything. But that shit will be replaced and let the ass try and keep any of my deposit...

That does suck about the carpet, but I agree, I would get it hashed out now with plenty of pictures and documentation of your efforts to get the landlord to step up to his responsibilities.
Ya'll are correct about one thing. Anything we do, we will have the little kiddies with us so an ice cream shop meet Friday night, there is a nice "LITTLE" Ice cream shop right on Oak Island drive that while being very small, has some decent parking and also is usually empty. We usually go there at some point during every visit, I will ask mom about the name of it so we can nail it down further.
Just so everyone has an update. After some tests they have determined that my Step Dad is going to be able to work things out with proper diet and exercise changes. He has never really made an effort to watch what he eats, he drinks a little Jack & Coke every night, not a drunk, just his way to chill at the end of the day, but it can't be good on top of smoking Marlboro reds along with it. So basically he has had the scare that is going to help him make some healthy choices for the future. So everything is back on as usual unless I get word from mom again saying otherwise. She has said now that us staying with her will be just fine. That being said, we will more than likely not stay with her Saturday night just because I foresee it being a late night and I don't really want to be filing into their place that late in the evening with the kids, well, being kids...lol
So we will more than likely attempt to stay with one of you guys Saturday night after the meet at the recreational area.
Honestly, I am more excited for this vacation than any other in the past. We usually do the beach thing and the tour of Myrtle Beach thing. But that got old about 8-10 years ago...lol So having something like this is going to make it GREAT! I always love doing something different and I believe the kids will absolutely LOVE seeing all the Raptors together.
THAT being said, the family has now made a list for me to work toward. Caden (Our four year old) wants the black Raptor I just bought, Cullen (my 16 year old) wants a Molten Orange Raptor, Michelle wants a Blue Raptor and Caylin (our 10 year old girl) wants to buy whatever color is available and then paint it pink...lol So I have a LOT of work to do to come up with the extra $200K it's gonna cost to buy the trucks and mod them like the family want. I will have to just do without and drive whichever one they will let me drive on a given day (except for the pink one...lol)
