Glad to here about your step dad Chris. You are welcome to stay with us... Our spare bed is still in pittsburgh, but we do have two queen air mattresses and the couches. And a couple extra dog beds for Fred and silver

First step is a raptor power wheels, they might have to compromise on color though. And you could totally rock that pink one.

Just a mire 27 hour drive from Omaha to oak island.

And I thought the MPG was pretty good given the 5000lb box trailer I was pulling.

Icecream Friday sounds great!

What's the Saturday plan? Bring a grill and make burgers and dogs? Are we allowed to have fires on the beach?

Shoot we even have a queen sized air mattress and tents so yeah, that'll work out great! Thank you!

I am definitely considering a Walmart Raptor for Caden, I know for a fact he would love having a "truck just like daddy's"....lol

I don't know about the Fiat, man, those things can be driven under the water and not flood out, they are amazing!

IDK, we will have to check on the grilling. I have a perfect grill for it, it'll fold right up and go in the bed of the truck no problem. As long as the powers that be at the rec area will allow it. I will let everyone else decide on timing, etc for the plan, we are pretty open to just about anything. I do think we need to meet early in the morning to catch low tide or there may not be enough beach to actually park on...lol

I believe grills are permissible. Gr8 posted a link I think with rules and stuff. We are going to arrive early am Friday. Spend day on beach check in hotel shower change dinner and icecream. Prob grab food crap for beach and head to beach early am Saturday. Think gate opens at 8. Not sure could be earlier. I'm going to check ferry schedule as soon as we are back in NC.

As long as we don't go to very end of beach there is plenty of beach to park on. We go there at least once a month if anyone has questions pm me I'll give them my number and fill them in. (Easier than typing on on phone). I will say low tide is better for kiddos and cryps like me. Have I said I LOVE THIS BEACH!!! So looking forward to seeing everyone and rap photo ops

Low tide is definitely better for Caden, being four he is still scared of waves. But it sounds like the plan you propose is a great plan to have happen. I believe we'll be doing the same thing so we'll see ya'll on the beach Friday as well!
