Got the oilpan leak on mine as well, just turned over 13k miles. The thing that ****** me off the most is that out of the six different stealerships I called in the area, none of them are willing to give out a loaner car while the work is completed, even though it is a warranty issue. "Did you purchase an ESP with rental coverage?" Why the hell does that matter? I just dropped >$60k on a top of the line truck and now it's defective. Fix it on your dime and give me a loaner in the meantime.

I had the oil pan leak at 2000 miles. They would not provide a rental under the standard warranty. Even though extended service plans start after 36,000 miles the rental coverage starts immedialty on those plans if you added that feature. The leak does suck but seems to be an easy fix and im still leak free after 11,000 miles. Good luck with your repair.

The manufacturers aren’t required to provide you a warranty under the terms of the warranty and it is only a mixed blessing anyway. If they do provide a loaner, this time period is not counted should you need to meet the lemon law threshold. That is, if the statute requires you to be down for 30 days, and you have a loaner or paid for rental for 15, the law only counts 15 days.

Loaners that aren’t covered by the ESP are covered under “good will” unless you buy from a dealer that provides loaners.

I know I’m a few days behind on this thread but being that I ordered my truck today, I’m doing as much research as possible.

You make the comment about the oil pan gasket only costing $35 as if they are charging you for this repair. Please tell me I read that comment wrong and that they are in fact covering it under warranty.

Not a gasket, the whole new pan is $35. It is a no charge but listed on the repair paperwork.

this will be my first replacement, hopefully this will fix the problem, just frustrating that a 2017 vehicle leaks more oil than my 53 year old Porsche.....
other than the oil leak, love the truck...
oh well, there are certainly bigger issues in life to worry about than a leaky oil pan.....

My local dealership provided a loaner when my Focus was in for a fog light replacement.
Guess it all depends on the dealership.

How many times has your P had it's air cooled, notorious for oil leak motor rebuilt?

I am not knocking the P, I just sold mine. Fantastic cars but hey, as my friend says, the day there are no new drops on my garage floor is the day the motor has no oil in it.
