Blame the morons that like being bent over so they can be the first idiot to get screwed. And ppl wonder why so many idiots are in money trouble. Unless you have tons of cash to spare , and I doubt not many in here qualify , you shouldn't be paying even msrp

I seriously doubt that anyone is going to get a great deal on the Gen2 Raptor for a while. It will be in high demand. I consider myself lucky that I was able to get it $1000 BELOW MSRP. BTW, I am paying cash for mine once it arrives.....so I hope your generalized comment was directed towards myself.

Price gouging

***UPDATE***

I just got a call from one of the 50 or so dealers I reached out to when I was told my order was canceled.

She wanted to know if I was still interested since she still had one allocation left (out of 3). She said she had two people who wanted it, but they were out of town for the holidays and would be back on Jan 2. She said each was scheduled to come in on that day to discuss the allocation.

This dealership is asking $10K...TEN THOUSAND...OVER sticker and they have two people who will be going in to a bidding war come Jan 2nd over it. She wanted to know if I was still interested since I asked first regarding this allocation. I explained what eventually happened with my order and said that I am getting my Raptor at $1000 BELOW MSRP. She said that was a phenomenal deal. Yeah, compared to 10K over.....

I asked about the other 2 allocations she had. One went to their GM (shocker) and the second went to a guy whose deposit was the FULL price PLUS $8000 over MSRP, so this guy gave them roughly $78000 for a truck he won't see for some time still due to the 10speed issue.

THAT IS CRAZY!

FWIW....

I didnt read all 6 pages to see if you mention your location... I know the dealer we bought from in Baltimore had several allocations left and was selling at MSRP... talk to Scott Holt at Koons Ford... ordered on 11/10 and we took delivery on 12/16 and everything was legit... (no carbon fiber or bead locks) then got the Ford ESP premium 8 years 100k with $50 ded., light coverage, and first day rental for $1775.00 through Mike at Warrick Ford in Indiana.

I also known of a dealer on Eastern shore of MD that has a unit coming in at MSRP...

Where can I find out more about the additional coverage that you got? What does it actually cover?

I haven't got my truck yet, but the other member was talking about the Ford Extended Service plans which can be purchased independent of your vehicle. IE, you don't have to purchase the plan when you purchase the vehicle. Generally the dealer will charge more, and you can save money by going another route.

A lot of people go through https://www.floodfordesp.com/

Hey Vince... funny my name is Vince also... nice to meet you...

Google Warrick Ford or Ford ESP Premium care... the list of components covered is really extensive and 8 years/100k is $220 a year for coverage... that's pretty sweet... Mike at Warrick is easy to work with as well...

Just to mention, make sure your buying Ford ESP... aftermarket plans might be less expensive but for me i want one throte to choke..... of course that's just my opinion

Right... not bad... I added first day rental if they have to keep it overnight and interior and exterior lighting coverage... seems like a no brainer...
