I am seriously considering disabling IWE system once we get to island resort and casino. Leaving the hubs locked during the SnoBall 500 and reenabling it for the drive home..

Does anyone make manual locking hubs for the raptor? Seems like it would be a good upgrade.

Nope.. I called and emailed warn.. They do not think there is not enough market to justify designing manual hubs for f150/raptor. Customers want the convenience and fuel savings of fully automatic (iwe) hubs and have not seen enough failures to warrant redesign. "our IWE system meets and exceeds Ford Motor Company's design and reliability standards"

I say ********, but whatever..

So how does it work exactly, I'm not to familiar with f150's

My ranger is live axle so everything is moving all the time, when I put it in 4x all it does is engage at the transfer case. I'm guessing the raptor isn't like that.

My dad had a Mazda B4000 (rebadged ranger) great truck never had a prob until 150000 miles it was great off road driving through deep ruts all the full size trucks would get hung up in and she just straddle one rut and keep goin!
