If you use a high end ceramic like expel XR plus or prestige photo sync. Blocks out 90% plus heat no matter how light or dark the shade is.

Just done today. Xpel XR plus. Matched the front two to the rear. Imo the cleanest look.

Do none of you have windshield tint laws? GSP will nail us all day long rawdog for tinting the windshield!

This exactly. I had the front windshield tinted on my 2012 and got pulled over 4 times(2 warnings) for it by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. I loved having it but got frustrated by getting pulled over all the time so I took it off and left an eyebrow. I'll probably do 5% on all sides and an eyebrow for the front on my 2022.

Makes a huge difference. I even have my moonroof tinted.

Just had mine done. Llumar CTX 30 all the way around back and sides. Font windshield and moon roof llumar AIR 80 clear. It is slightly darker from the inside out. But much darker from the outside in. Just drove it from the shop to work. I like... Total $550

Wincos nano-ceramic, 30% on front sides, 70% on windshield, 20% on top of the factory dyed back windows.

EDIT: Just realized this a Gen 3 thread. My bad. May still help someone with decision.
