Will Ford drop the v8 in the Gen 2

If there's any truth to this timeline, I'd assume there's at-least some updates to the 2019's. Seems pretty late in the year to start production of the G2's otherwise.

This info is from Blue Oval Forum and is available for all Ford and Lincoln models.

Id settle for a g2 that doesnt cough up its guts , like mine and piles of others have. ***** shit piles

Trucks are supposed to have low end torque. :shrug:

There is no V8 coming in the Gen2.. and thank god! The TTv6 ROCKS.. Sure it only sounds like a TTv6.. Because it is a TTv6.. V8 might be louder, but they are old and outdated tech.. Besides, if you really want an awesome sound you buy a Powerstroke or Cummins.. ( I have also found that the people who knock the TTv6 are those that can't afford a Raptor anyway.) Raced a Gen1 the other night out of a stop light and had to laugh at the results... It was not close and I never heard his V8.. Because he was behind me the whole time.. To each their own though! Simply drive what you like..

yours is definitely f*cked up @Gsteve but it’s also exceedingly rare.

Apparently a broken valve spring is rare , but betweem this forum and various pages on fb ive seen , in just the last few days.....
- burning huge amounts of oil and no low oil light , several
- exploded rear diff and none available for replacement
- engine shutting down and restarting for no reasons , a few
- white snoke after long idle , a few
And thats the recents ones go back farther for all the leaking oil pans and crashing trans.

First off, I believe you. 2nd off, I sincerely hope your truck is fixed and you are properly squared away in the soonest possible time frame.

that said, you’re torturing yourself. There may be a dozen, a hundred, a thousand, it doesn’t matter; as far as your concerned the failure rate is 100%!

Don’t fall into the confirmation bias trap. The internet is a place like the 6 o’clock news, if it bleeds it leads. People don’t do blog posts about nothing happening or write in forums about a non eventful day.

You can’t change what’s happened to your truck already, you can only deal with the issue at hand. it’s tempting to unearth problems of others and see if you’re not alone, but it’s a frustrating endeavor that will not provide satisfaction. I’ve been where you are and more than once. I know it probably doesn’t mean a whole lot, but I’m pulling for you to get the truck back, fixed properly as soon as possible. all the negative feelings you’re having now, all the dirt you unearth on the internet is just going to add stress to your life that you don’t need.
