And here I thought you were banned. That's too bad. That said, it was nice not hearing your ******** for a while.

Funny how you mention the SD. In case you didn't realize it, Ecoboost is just a marketing term for a turbocharged engine. You might be surprised to learn the engine of choice in the SD also relies on a turbo. But hey, you never let facts get in the way of a flawed argument before, so why start now.

I bet you would have liked that. We know too many facts upset you Jennies.

Did you just compare a gas V6 to a diesel V8? Bro, you might want to delete this post.

I'm not the one ******** on turbos. They are amazing pieces of engineering and work as well on gassers as they do on oil burners.

BTW, if low-end torque matters so much, why is the Gen2 significantly faster than the Gen1?

Who's ******** on turbos? They have their place. I'm just saying they have boost lag. Physics is real.

For example, boost lag doesn't matter if you're driving cargo ship. You tend to make decisions well in advance in such a vehicle. So in the right situation, they really help a small motor deliver the same results a larger motor could.

But I'm also saying that when they are mated to Taurus motors, they have incredibly weak low end torque...

And if low-end torque mattered in the real world, then the Gen1 would be able to keep up with the Gen2.

What's the compression ratio on an ecoboost? Now in a powerstroke? How about the ignition system? Tell me about the engine internals.

I won't bother waiting.

Tell me again about all the times a 3.5 liter TT V6 used in a real truck in the real world.

Jazzie... princess... question... aren't you the guy (is that how you self identify?) that used to argue that you could cool a turbo motor by running it lean?

Jazzzzziiieeeeeeeee tell us again how you cool the pistons on a turbo motor by running it leeeeeannnnnn!!!!!! :ROFLJest:

no confirmation for v8, just speculation and rumors. A lot of members here refute the mere possibility of ford putting a v8 in the raptor ever again. Only time will tell.

order banks for the 2019 open up around august I think.

The 3.5 TT doesn't have any low end grunt.

For 0-60 times in magazines, you just brake boost it and the torque converter makes up for the weak bottom end. But in the real world, once you're rolling and the converter locks up, you need revs (after lag) to get an EB to show up for work.

There's a reason the EB has been used in the Taurus but not the SD.

Hey guys, one of our trolls is back and picking up right where it left off before the adults put it in time out.

Don’t be triggered by the TT Raptor, no need to be insecure.

It’s here to stay despite your pleading

If there's any truth to this timeline, I'd assume there's at-least some updates to the 2019's. Seems pretty late in the year to start production of the G2's otherwise.
