N/A five dot oh or even the five dot two doesn’t produce the torque of the 3.5TT and doesn’t deliver the low end grunt.

I prefer driving n/a or supercharged for a more linear throttle, but you’d need about 400 CID to get close to the Raptors current torque, and probably more.

I think just give the American buyers what they want - a v8. we could do it with 4 liters, TT and would address everyone’s needs and wants.

Still, I wouldn’t mind some electric power added. Nothing beats torque from electric motors right now, just line up next to a Tesla in ludicrous mode. Plus, if you could run in silent mode for a few miles, that would be starbucks drive thru tactical.

i would much rather have an NA 5.0 and just add power when its actually needed.

you guys will run out of suspension much much faster than you will run out of power offroad.

I'm sure that no one here will admit it but some of us actually drive on the pavement Lol

once battery tech gets better I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing offroad racing electric setups.

King suspension and 37s that’s very pricey , same with a hellcat engine (not to say it’s any more then the HO 3.5). Also they’d have to redesign it because the 19s got a redesign and they may have had to start over in a way

If you look, the concept truck already had a lot of the redesign styling on it.

My garage laughs at that comment.

Ask the 2010 5.4 Gen 1 Raptor owners what happened when Ford came out with the 6.2 in 2011.

Yes it's going to have more power and torque. The difference between the 5.4 and 6.2 was 90HP, so it will be at least that IMO.

Time will tell, I could be wrong. I'm betting there will be a V8 Raptor.

Hahahaha!!! Big blue, ****** I miss you buddy!! I haven’t been on here in FRF in quite awhile but I saw a new article about the 7.0 so I figured I’d investigate.

My garage laughs at this comment made my day!!!! LMAO!!!

How will you produce over 500 pound feet of torque like the current TTv6?

I’d love to see a V8 Raptor again. I don’t give a shit how they do it, NA, turbo, supercharger, just as long as it has more power and good sound.

The 3.5 TT doesn't have any low end grunt.

For 0-60 times in magazines, you just brake boost it and the torque converter makes up for the weak bottom end. But in the real world, once you're rolling and the converter locks up, you need revs (after lag) to get an EB to show up for work.

There's a reason the EB has been used in the Taurus but not the SD.

And here I thought you were banned. That's too bad. That said, it was nice not hearing your ******** for a while.

Funny how you mention the SD. In case you didn't realize it, Ecoboost is just a marketing term for a turbocharged engine. You might be surprised to learn the engine of choice in the SD also relies on a turbo. But hey, you never let facts get in the way of a flawed argument before, so why start now.
