This is America the greatest country in the world(despite Obama efforts to bring it down).
There are a lot of people in this awesome union of states that have a lot of ******* money. Plain and simple.
So why the **** do we care so much who pays what.
They are buying trucks, which keeps the economy going.
Ford needs to sell them to dealers, and dealers are reselling to make money.
They make money they employ people and so on and so forth.
Lets stop counting someone else's money, please.

ps I just want to extend my gratitude to anyone who bought a new raptor or ordered one. If you paid MSRP or over WHO GIVES A ****. Thank you so much for doing this and contributing to the economy. Enjoy the hell out of your new trucks, plain and simple.

It's "whatever the market will bear", and right now it appears it will bear up to 20k over MSRP in some markets.

As a business owner myself, I have no problem with other businesses charging market value to make more money. People have the choice to not buy it and go elsewhere willing to sell at a cheaper price. Seems there are a few users here genuinely upset at other users for buying over MSRP calling them idiots and stupid. Who cares!

If everyone else is paying crazy ADM's then yes that drives the price up as dealers know people will pay it. But it does affect the other guy and everyone else because now you have to pay it yourself. So yes it is dumb to pay over MSRP and especially $25k over just for the have it now when it won't matter down the road. If someone throws $25k into a raging fire pit, is that not dumb? Would not helping a charity be a wiser choice if you just want to throw money away.

The GT350 was actually limited production(unlike the 2017 Raptor's) and even the price calmed down on those within a few of months and you could find them all day at MSRP.

Just wait until all the early builds start to ship, the market will be flooded with probably close to 50% of the total Raptors sold in 2014 within a couple of weeks...

@Gilligan yes and no

Still fairly hard to find a GT350 at MSRP. Many dealers are still able to get above MSRP without much of an issue. Certain markets, forget it. Definitely not getting an R for MSRP.

And as far as production goes, we still don't know the numbers. Right now some people trying to order Raptors are being told to wait. I think they will stay at around 15% of normal F150 production numbers. Hell they can't even get them shipped now.

As always time will tell. Just glad I have mine ordered. Not glad it's been sitting for 2 months in Detroit.

he's not wrong though..... "it's only money" Sure, you gonna give someone the extra 25 thousand dollars they will have to pay because the price got driven up by idiots paying over MSRP? I mean, you really should because it's only money.

There's the question - what will happen next year... I checked in with my dealer yesterday. Still like #15 on the list. He told me in Sept., it would likely be a year. Seems like that means an '18 for me. But....is this allocation thing continuing? I was a little surprised frankly - 90 days in that I'm that far down still. They are a fairly good size dealer that moves a lot of Fords too.

Comment on MSRP - I paid it once, for an '89 Probe. Super hot vehicle when it first came out. I thought it fine since for what I got the price was fair. I feel the same way about the Raptor. However, I don't think I could stomach over MSRP.

Oh its you and the Maverick again? Thanks for your bright idea, you live in America wake up. People here HAPPEN to have $$$$ and you do not control how they spend it.
If you lived in a former Soviet Union where I happed to grow up and served in the Former Soviet Army it would be a different story. Even now the new Russian Elite spends money however they want to spend it. Try telling them.

You come across as guy that you hear on the news about. "He lived a modest house, ate a local McDonalds, got his haircut for $3.50 at a local barber, drove the same car for the last 35 years (maverick?). His net worth was $25million. " I would have added "He could have had a Raptor...
