GEN 2 Who is interested in a Whipple Stage 1 Group Buy?

Yeah I ended up calling him back, apparently they have no idea when the intercoolers will come in as they ran out halfway through the group buy. It went from a couple weeks ago they were supposed to have them, and now its "maybe late next week"

ah sorry he did mention they were waiting for more intercoolers...

like I said before, I think they expected a handful of orders, and I had 42 within 2 days - so they had to order more!

No biggie I guess. I just know when they ran my CC and I paid for it, the guy said I was the 3rd person to call in and pay - so maybe that's why I seem not happy about this.. but either way, I guess it will ship when it ships.

It was a gal that took my call, I suppose the calls were not answered sequentially overall? Maybe the order went off how fast you got the VIN data back to them.

Guys also make sure ya add the spd turbo adapters to your mods along with the whipple stage 1 kit. I didn’t think it was really worth getting until I had my Borla atak exhaust with stock turbo adapters for 2 weeks and then changed to spd adapters, the change in sound alone was so great that it has to be adding some more hp gains, everyone that had heard my truck before spd adapters and then after all thought I had changed exhaust completely clauses it sounded so different.

I wonder if this will still give you the same 20ish HP gain on top of the Whipple Stage 1 numbers, any thoughts?

how did the exhaust adapters change the exhaust sound? did it make it much louder or did it just change the tone? would you happen to have a sound clip or video of it?

were you able to feel any hp/tq gains with the butt dyno?

im thinking to order those as well to install with the whipple intake, tune and full race IC.

I don’t have any clips of sound, wish I did, I wasn’t even worried bout having them installed. Thinking they really wouldn’t make a difference, but since I had already purchased them I finally put them in after couple weeks of running without them with a tune, dp, cai and when I got my truck In my truck it sounded so much better I asked the guy if he messed with my exhaust while installing the adapters. I do think it gives enough of power gain you can feel but that could be just wanting to. I know for sure 100pct it makes it sound deeper and a lot better. It’s a must if you have tune or exhaust mods done. I just changed to mpt tune prx 94 tune today also from 5 star 93 and wow mpt tune is way faster than 5 stars. My truck is super fast and fun now. I don’t think I will do anything else to make it any faster from this point on. It will burn the tires up right now, and throttle response is super quick, I thought my 5 star tune was bad ass but this mpt tune is insane. Just hope I don’t blow my engine. Lol.. it’s definitely not a calm low power tune. It’s a haul ass and go tune. Which Is what I was hoping for. I actually see what the hype was about and the guy on here named (Guy) wasn’t lying or bullshitting at all. It’s awrsome from what I’ve seen so far. Whipple is probably the safest but Mpt has to be the most powerful.
