Guys also make sure ya add the spd turbo adapters to your mods along with the whipple stage 1 kit. I didn’t think it was really worth getting until I had my Borla atak exhaust with stock turbo adapters for 2 weeks and then changed to spd adapters, the change in sound alone was so great that it has to be adding some more hp gains, everyone that had heard my truck before spd adapters and then after all thought I had changed exhaust completely clauses it sounded so different.

The shop that installed all my mods could not install the turbo adapters because they were scared one of the bolts was gonna break and it did break when I got it installed so I just bought the adapters and didn’t install them for 2 weeks, I wasn’t really worried bout installing them cause I thought it wouldn’t be enough of a difference to even tell. But I was completely wrong, so I tell everyone that’s doing performance mods to their truck to be sure to change the adapters. I’m not exaggerating at all either, just the sound difference it made in the exhaust was worth it. I run the Borla atak exhaust and love it. It will never sound sweet as a v8 but I do believe mine sounds bout as good as one can. It’s not even loud like I was worried about, with down pipes, h pipe, resonator, adapters, cai, Borla atak it really a deep sound and only sounds off when I get down on it and everyone says it sounds great. In the cabin it’s so quiet that I never notice it till I stomp it and then I notice it. It sounded like a fart can alittle without the adapters but once installed them It’s perfect. I need to try to make a video to share the sound

is it a lot of work getting those adapters on the turbo exhaust side? seems to be a tight spot, what downpipes have you got leading down from there ?

Ok guys anybody do the full install yet... it appears I have to download my stock tune to the tomahawk then send it to whipple to get the correct tuning .... anybody else havd any thoughts ideas ?

It’s not a lot of work to install the down pipes from looking at it. I just didn’t have the tools or place to do it at really. From what they told me the bolts can be a pain to get out, guess it helps to heat them up. They still broke one off and this was at the ford dealership so you do need the extra parts pkg that is offered for 99 dollars when you buy the spd adapters in case you break a bolt. Cause then you have to extract it and all that and will need the extra bolts. I have AFE catted down pipes

Why do you have to do that, does your tune need alittle tweaking or something? This is what all tuners have you do if something is not how u like it I think
