start with the om bump stops. mine are still working I've hit the trails I think fairly hard but don't think I've ever hit them I should caulk it and find out! yes I would be able to go harder with the mod's. I have also been lucky that nothing too bad has sneaked up on me yet.

The problem with this thread is that no one is talking about failure of any of the systems. When I shop for a new product, any product, home electronics, Raptor parts, guns, cell phones...you name it. I look for the bad reviews; I want to see what people DIDN't like, what failed. And Yes, I know people will exaggerate, or bash, so you have to weed through the ********.
So I highly doubt that there have been zero failures or problems with these bump stop kits, not saying all of them, but I've seen how some of you mofos drive. :fuckyea:
And this is off roading, shit is going to break! BJ Balwin's truck breaks...so...
Even if one of these systems has failed, doesn't mean it was due to the system, could have been the driver, how was it installed, a fluke circumstance, or it could have been the product...How did it fail? Why? And 2 out of 100 failures, I’m still good with that product. SO let’s count the failures to success stories.
The second part to that is, how did the company treat you and it's failed product?
These are the real questions that should be asked when purchasing a product like this. We can go on for days talking about oh I have "X", it works great, oh I have "Y", works great...blah, blah, blah...we aren’t getting much from those.
Who has had a failure with a bump stop it? State the facts, don't bash. How did it fail, what failed, what was going on when it failed, and how were you and the product treated by the vendor for it’s failure?
This is a Raptor OWNER forum, not a Raptor Vendor forum. Those vendors wouldn’t be here without us, and if there is a product out there for the Raptor and it’s failing or has failed, we as owners need to let other owners know, so we can be on the look out and have all the facts. Don’t bash, state the facts of YOUR experience. Rant over…

:fishing1:

I second this notion...

To stay on everyone's good side I waited to say anything until someone else spoke up first. Idk y anyone would even mention failures if no one will elaborate? Tying to decipher y'all's damn riddle is driving me insane :Insane:. It's like saying, "I have a unicorn in my back yard, but no ones allowed to c it." :bawl:

Whip it out when in doubt! And by holding on to any useful info for us fellow Raptor owners and vendor product buyers, what good are you doing?

We should almost start another thread for product reviews, more so failures...with an emphasis on NOT bashing, but state the facts and experience with the vendor. I might just start that, but I haven't had a failure, I also don't have a lot of off-road miles or a lot vendor products yet....hmmm...see how long it take for it to be shut down.

I said I wouldn't reply in this thread again but this is an amazing idea. It needs to be done. How can anyone considering a kit call themselves "informed" when this skeleton remains in the closet? I don't have any bones to pick, I already have a bump kit. This issue should be a no brainer. We are here to share info and reviews, good, bad, or indifferent and not doing so when there is obviously some to be shared is dishonest. /soapbox

To be fair, and to NOT make this a witch hunt for failed vendor products, i have been out with a few guys on this forum with a TON of vendor parts on each Raptor. From those trips, only a light bar roof mount failed. Wasn't my part or truck, so I won't elaborate, but that's it.

This is also a touchy subject because if the vendor takes care of you and it's product in the event of a failure, then it's hard to publish the failure, right? sorry, just thinking out loud. because we all need to be informed more of the products we are buying. We need reviews, just like the ones you can read online at Best buy and other stores.
