This is terrible advice. Duralast Pads have nowhere near the same co-efficient of friction as the factory pads, nor do they perform as well under stress and high heat situations. At best, longer stopping distances and worse pedal feel. At worst, failure under repetitive, heavy use.

Why do you think you can get free replacements for AutoZone and the factory pads are an arm and a leg. You get what you pay for.

Then don't take the advice chief. I have notice zero difference from these pads from the factory pads I replaced.......other than the squeal disappearing.

I’m not taking it, but the problem is you are passing this off as sound advice on a forum where people are looking for good information on a subject they might not be well informed on.

Your braking system is the last place you should be looking to save money. The Ford factory pads are $90-110. Duralasts are 70 at most and quality only goes down as you go cheaper. I’m willing to bet there’s a difference in that $30-40 dollars.

Do what you want with it. What got passed is fact. Don't much care what you have a problem with.
go drop a grand on some high speed ********[/

Since when did factory pads and rotors become “high speed ********”? And I’m pretty sure $100 for pads and maybe $200 for rotors isn’t close to $1,000. And lastly, if you’re already cutting corners on the most important part of your vehicle, maybe a $60,000 truck shouldn’t be in your budget. :33:

hey look, there's an ass you should go eat.

This reply is known as the, “I have no clue what the hell I’m talking about, somebody just proved that, so instead of admitting it, I’m going to post childish insults.”

Congrats, you’re a star.
