Thats right fluctuat your speed and don't go over 80 km so in other words don't buy it and immediately take it on a long highway trip.

I had my truck off the ground with less than 200 miles on it!

So did I. Raptor roundup with dealer tags on still. Lots of power sliding and having fun. My truck runs and drives great!

All during the first 2 weeks of ownership!

Not saying I'm right, but I have a buddy who babies his truck all the time. Every time he gets on it or does something it breaks. He won't rev the engine, floor it from a stop or anything.

return trip

This is exactly what I've learned as an engine builder. The 1000 miles is a learning curve for the computer and trans,.the 500 is for seating of engine components and you should fluctuate throttle and speed.

I have a 500 mile highway trip to return home with my new raptor. when highway cruising one could simulate speed changes by shifting gear from 6 to 5 ect. would that work as long as one keeps the rpm below 3 to 4000?

My son picked mine up for me. He drove it around town for the first day. Then, the second day, it went on a 450 mile road trip, to deliver it to me. Since then, I've been playing around in the SE NM desert with it. I'll let you know if that was a wise decision in about 10 years.
