My dealer recommended no cruise control for the first 500 miles and no towing for the first 1,000. That was it.
Not saying dealers always know their stuff, but that was their answer.

Agreed, fluctuate engine rpm's for first 500 miles, also gradually increase max rpm's so that redline isn't reached until approximately 500 miles. This isn't needed but the dyno results after break in usually yields more HP. I also do the first oil change at 500 miles.

With a name like Z06 you can't be wrong.

From the 2014 Owners Manual, all parts that talk about Break-In:

BREAKING-IN
You need to break in new tires for approximately 300 miles (480 kilometers). During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics. Avoid driving too fast during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers). Vary your speed frequently and change up through the gears early. Do not labor the engine. Do not tow during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers).

Note: In order to allow a break-in period for your vehicle, you may not be able to create a Vehicle Health Report until your vehicle odometer has reached 200 miles.

Calculating Fuel Economy
Do not measure fuel economy during the first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers) of driving (this is your engine’s break-in period); a more accurate measurement is obtained after 2000 miles - 3000 miles (3200 kilometers - 4800 kilometers).

After reading all these post I think I can boil down all the suggestions to this..........

How to break in a new Raptor: "Drive it like it's a damn rental truck" to "Baby it and change the oil every 500 miles".

Now that is certainly a wide range of options!:Big Laugh:
