I picked mine up on a Friday put about 100 miles on it then pulled in into the shop on Monday for new bumper, lights, winch etc. When it was 6 days old with 130 miles on it we headed out for Detroit to tour SVT and Roush. Then off to the UP for the first SnoBall. Had over 2000 miles when we got home. Seems to have worked almost exactly a year later. Not for everybody but it was a heck of a lot of fun and really kicked off a fun year of off road trips.

Similar story here.
Picked it up in late Feb. Drove it to TRR. Had about 1000 miles on it when I showed up. Engine purrs like a kitten.

getting on a Raptor Run is probably the best way to break it in. Just don't get on the byway and set the cruse.

I thought to seat the rings properly you need to load the engine up right away IE - drive it like you stole it IMMEDIATELY then change the oil IMMEDIATELY

after warming up of course

Hi,
I know we've all had our dads/moms tell us how to break in the new vehicle but what is the consensus out there? Many of us just got a new Raptor and want it to run good forever, what's the secret?

jump it, then blast through a trail that's almost too narrow for a jeep.
