What is this line?

Have a leak in this line. Looks like it goes to the a/c condenser. Rubber factory crimped to steel lines.

Thanks Joe. Yep goes into the radiator it looks like. I guess I need to know where it comes apart. Do have to replace the steel lines with it? I don't see a way to seperate the rubber line from the steel one.

On the rad side you will need to remove it with a 5/8" or 3/4" line wrench (flare nut wrench). If it's the bottom hose on the rad, you'll want a plug or catch bucket under it. You'll probably lose about a 1/2 qt of oil as it drains out of the cooler.

Not sure how to remove on the engine side. But that can and everything will have to come off. No way to separate the rubber from the metal. The whole line needs to be replaced.

Are you sure the hose is leaking and its not something dripping onto it?

Pretty sure. The only thing above it is the big radiator hose. I cleaned it off good and I'll drive it around a little to see if it reappears.

I think my first reply was wrong.
Are you sure the other end goes into the radiator? It might be going into the AC condenser.

That line comes from the compressor to the condenser. discharge line. you need to evacuate the ac system first before you remove.

Looks like a trip to dealer. I hate going to the dealer. Unless there's a way I can evacuate the system. I evacuated my lower colon just a little bit ago successfully. So I may try it

well you didn't hear this from me. you could bleed off the Freon with the shrader valve. just use a small screwdriver and bleed off the shrader.

then once you get the new one on. most any shop can evacuate and recharge
