buy whatever you can get the best deal on
they'll all make your truck more capable

The best suspension is one that is set up for your own driving style. Share your experience level, along with the terrain you will be ripping up, with any of the outstanding vendors on this site. They will help you find the set up you are looking for, with cost and maintenance that fit your budget. Pull the trigger and pedal down!

Best advice here. Buy what you can get a deal on or if you can't find a deal, buy something that is set up for your driving style.

We have played with both the king and fox. Overall I would say fox is the better all around performance shock for both daily driving and offroad use. We can custom valve them to suit your needs. We have also been playing with our own valving in the shop truck and are very satisfied with the outcome.

Why ?
At first it was a fan boy war, but that dust has settled and only the facts remain.

To the op, how far do you want to go ?
What is the intended use ?
Bolt on only, or are you willing to do some cutting and welding ?
If so, I can say the brenthel lt kit I installed this spring is light years better than my 3.0 setups were. Better offroad that is...

LOL........it's still fan boy in my humble opinion. I expect you can line up experts who will sing the praises of all three of these systems. Pros and Cons for all these systems. There is no Champion here, if there were everyone would purchase it. It all comes down to what YOUR preference is and how you plan to drive your truck and where you plan to drive your truck. I respect everyones opinion and knowledge but I also understand bias and perception. I ain't got no dog in this fight but I still feel there is not ONE system of at least these three that is head and shoulders above the other one. I guess my comment was a attempt at some humor that must have fell a bit short.

Just curious but do some mix it up based on their pros and cons, as in having Fox on the rear and Icon on the front concept? Not for cost reasons but for performance that they are looking for, could even be different on LCA/UCA and tie rods brands.

ntm can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he ran fox's up front and icons in the rear for a while based on the icons performance out back before switching to fox in the rear. He has some good info on his experience with both.

Here's an idea;

Get a bunch of trucks together with an assortment of aftermarket suspensions on an offroad track and race them against each other! Hell, throw some money into the mix to insure everyone gives it 100%. Surely, the winner will indicate the best suspension set-up.

Oh nevermind, it's already been done. GLRE Time Attack. The guy with the stock suspension won.....
