Oh, well was the 96 Mustang Cobra a Real Cobra since the 2002 is the Supercharged version. Could say the same for the mid 90s lightning.

I love my 2011 but it is this very forum that made me end up with the 2011 instead of the 2010. The '11 does not have HIDs which is something that I miss but I like having the rear view camera in the mirror itself and the simple no NAV sync system is the best. It is simple and effective. I knew this would turn into a thing were every body would say their own truck is the best.

I too have the bug and want some Method Roosts with Mud OPen Countries soon.

Nobody is asserting their year is the best, not seriously anyway. This group is too tight-knit for that.

multi function display is available in regular F150s, ORM is not. We all have ORM, we all started with the upgraded mid-travel suspension, we all started with the Raptor specific hood/grill/fenders/bedsides/wheels/rear diff/interior/badges, etc... We all have Raptors.

every mustang sold new as a Cobra is a Cobra, even the 93's - there was no Cobra in 2002, only 2003 and 2004 were supercharged.

Subsequent alterations/improvements do not negate the pedigree of previous editions.

If it was built as a Raptor, with a 5.4 or a 6.2, with a multi function display or not, GPS or not, Sinc in whatever generation or form, SE or not, it is a Raptor and should be loved as such.

We all have fun on here with each other, but when we are at a run or just as a group getting together to meet and look at the other guy's rig, we are all a family of Raptor owners.

I've never looked at another Raptor and thought that mine was better because it's newer, or a certain color, or because of mods. It's just cool to be a part of such a great group of people.

Obviously having thick skin and being able to take the crap back that you dish out is an important part of being accepted into the group. Likewise, when you ask a question like "what do you all consider real raptors" you're opening yourself up to some shenanigans. We all consider our Raptors to be real Raptors, and of course we all think our own truck is the best - because they really are a reflection of our own personal taste and personalities.

So, lighten up a little and enjoy the feedback. Go on some runs and get-togethers, and meet the owners of the trucks. That's really the coolest part of owning a Raptor is the people behind the wheel.......
