Didnt see this answered.... but are you using the stock shock mounts on the axle or are new ones getting welded on?

Yes to the lower shock mount

And by looking at the pics, i'd say yes to the bed removal because the second cross member brace center mount is welded to the frame of the truck.

Take the bed off is easy...just need a couple buddies.
