How does 16"-16.5" of travel without cutting the bed sound?

To try and answer everyones questions

-14" stroke shock
-16.625" of useable wheel travel
-Shock is more upright than factory location
-1" increase in up travel

Does this system use the stock shock location on the axle? Or does it require a new tabs welded to axle?

This may be a stupid question or statement but, I assume adding the second cross support where the new shock mount is, in addition to the bump stop cross bar support, the frame is being more reinforced and more rigid?
