What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Jealous of that location Troutrad....my ideal living situation right there.

Built it 15 years ago as a summer cabin, but moved out there as our permanent home about a year ago. Several miles off pavement but keeps the riffraff away. Gotta admit I sometimes pinch myself that I’m so lucky!

Does anyone have a part number for those god awful nut plates that hold the front of the skid plate on? Removed my plate today and two of them are snapped and spin freely

What you get is true independent front suspension. I travel lots of pothole riddled sandy rocky north east logging/fishing roads and my truck was always harsh in that stuff. Not anymore, the front floats through pothole now. First fishing trip without it last weekend and my wife asked why I was laughing to myself and I told her I like this truck again. Truly the best thing I could have ever done to it. Disconnected the two on my side by side and that hooked me. I had a 17 this is a 19 with 60000 km and will have my next one removed before I pick it up. Sway bars a total bind to add stability on road mostly, and yes it's a bit more of a leaner on road but not out of control. Actually, on the street taking a turn you more than ever want to just mash the gas. As for articulation, crawling up through downhill washouts in 2wd you don't spin a tire like you would before with the swaybar. This my opinion, but i recommend trying it before casting stones. Plus, if you have any amount of miles off road, you need new swaybar links anyway. Ford put access panel there for a reason. Try it, it won't kill ya.

I do understand sway bars. My 6.1 Hemi Jeep Unlimited has no sway bars and my RZR Turbo S has an electric disconnect rear sway bar (no front bar at all). I guess if they come out with an electric disconnect bar for the front I might be interested, but while I do a reasonable amount of off road in the Raptor, it still spends more time on road. But thanks for the videos and the information. I do agree that off road, it should be better on pot holes and such. For me the real limiting factor of the Raptor is the running boards and high centering even on my Scab. And of course, the width.

Really awesome!...I’ll get there...I’ll get there. Recently convinced the wife to move out of Florida, where she was born and raised, to N.C. so we can be closer to the mountains and I can have seasons again. Next up in the list is to convince her to have a West Coast vacation home...MT, WY, CO, ID located preferably.

They’re orange. A little darker than the anodizing on the shocks, but I’m sure it’ll fade lighter in no time. The camera makes it look darker too
