On the Raptor they come with 315s you’re correct. But those in the photo are 35x12.50r17 next to grabber 35x12.50r17. BFG isn’t my first, second or third choice when it comes to tires. Ha
LOL, you didn't mention that.
I happen to like the BFG, I like the speed rating most of all.

Eh I got over 40k out of my first set of original equipment KO's (everyone knows those issues) and even more than that on my KM2 afterwards. Both of which tires still had life some good meat left and coming from airing down to 25 pounds for the beach constantly and driving highway miles for weeks on that pressure before refilling. Duplex nails from work stuck in the sidewall, skipping tire rotations, shit hole NYC roads with pot holes the size of moon craters etc. granted I'm not rock crawling or climbing mountains but all on a 7000 lb. truck I'm sold on BFG. Recently invested in KO2's E rated and I'm sure the last set for the life of my truck.

You have questions about tires? Here is a website by good ole unkie sam that rates tires. Just enter the brand and look through the list to find what your interested in. I have always weighted my purchased about 70% to wear rating and 30% to traction. All kinds of info here that bypasses the hype from the tire shop.

I have always weighted my purchased about 70% to wear rating and 30% to traction. All kinds of info here that bypasses the hype from the tire shop.
I probably just got a bad set of ko2s, I wonder if there’s a way to track that by manufacture date? Maybe the compound used in my run was subpar? Either way spending $1400 for a set of tires that didn’t last more than 2 years (at that time I was commuting) left a bad taste in my mouth.

A lot of people seem to not think of tires as wearable items, likely due to price. $1400 over 2 years hurts a little. Though I’m sure others have paid more.

On the flip side of the coin my mickey Thompson baja atz p3’s are at 75% of total tread depth with 17,000miles on them. Normally would be happy at that, but due to some coming changes the truck is going to look like a defensive linemen wearing ballet shoes.

I guess my point is that I have had two sets of mickeys and they both have worn well considering the life they have had. Granted I am not doing burnouts on asphalt but they have been worked.

Is there a benefit in getting in there and scrubbing or just a powerwash is the better way? I know some connectors may not like anything extreme.
I've never had any issues with pressure washing this truck, but mind you I use a lot of degreaser and have since the truck was new to keep most of the grime to a minimum, I DO NOT spray really close to anything with the wand at the car wash. This last time was so easy to clean as I had previously removed all engine components only a few months ago and detailed the whole engine compartment. I used just regular car wash soap and water in a bucket and a soft brush to clean it and only used the garden hose to rinse off this time around.

edit: It really isn't that hard to remove the headlights, battery (tray), intake and air filter box, if you cleaned all of those individually, there is easy access to everything else and a lot easier to keep clean afterwards. I took the inner fenders and flares off and really went to town a few months back, it was really rewarding for my OCD. SOme people mocked me for it , lol, don't care ha ha. It's too easy to clean now.
