Did some preventative work on some body hardware. Took out the bed bolts one at a time and put never seize on them, also did the running board mount bolts.
Began fabricating a PS reservoir . Just need the cap put on.
I picked up all the fluids to do a total fluid change. While the trans pan is off I will weld on a drain plug and a fitting for a dipstick.
Never understood the stupid no dipstick thing.
My new wheels and Viair compressor showed up on friday also ..... so it has been a great weekend.

Any reason you went with vair instead of arb?

I’m wanting to take my window visor things off as well. What did you use to get all the residue off?

Mine were held on with foam tape. I used a heat gun to soften up a bit, and carefully pulled them off. Any remaining tape, I used my fingers to rub it off. I didn't have much as the heat gun helped. A little mineral spirits/Naptha on a terry cloth took care of the glue. Looks so much better.

Got a few upgrades done throughout the year — just getting around to posting.

And improved my air-down process with some Apex Design performance valves.

I used them at this years SnoBall and they were fantastic for a quick air down. You can count to 10 while the valve is open and dump 20 pounds of air. Much better then pulling the cores.

If you install them on G1 beadlocks make sure you get the XLs and flip the o-ring per their instructions. All and all I was very happy and the install was straight forward.

The Viair I chose has 100% duty cycle and is designed for permanent mount , which will be behind front bumper. It will fill a 35" tire 15 lbs to 30lbs in about 3 minutes and has pretty good reviews. I will be surprised if I use it more than once a year. This isn't my main offroad vehicle. I have a very well equipped early Bronco that I run a York engine driven air compressor on, which is the best setup IMHO.
