It's literally just a strip of red leather with three stitches in it. Cut the stitches and it comes right off. I bought a piece of red marine vinyl from Joann fabrics and replicated the strip (3 7/8" long 1" wide with the sides folded in to make it 3/4") wrap it around the wheel and re-stitch. 30 minutes and you're done. Will add some more photos when I get to a computer.
Yeah a rack system/concept like that is pictured above....would be destroyed in about 30 seconds the way most of us drive out here in the west/SoCal.
Would look cute on an FX4 however. Lol.

Is it a good color match? This one? Marine Vinyl- Red | Jo-Ann
Steering wheel looks the same. How did you replace just the strip? I need to replace mine bad and Ford said I'd have to buy a new steering wheel. Any details would be appreciated.

http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f16/bashed-skid-plates-22846/Joined the "smashed up skid plate club" last weekend on The ROC Poker Run. I was afraid to get out and survey the damage after the impact, but was beyond relieved to find that this was the only damage. It did it's job well!

also looks like you are leaking some fluid on the front drivers side tire?
I took inspiration from this and went to joann's and they let me buy the fabric in a 3" by 54" for 1.66 a piece. I bought 3 colors to try the red is a perfect color match to the oem, but I also bought a yellow and a green. I ended up going yellow just to be different. I think I now have to get ahold of raptor custom embroidery and have him make me a center console to match the yellow.
