Are you able to remove the entire antenna assembly off of the fender? Disconnect the cable and then be able to work on it on a bench. Soak the entire thing in a jar or maybe carefully add a little heat to the antenna close to base without ******** up said base.

I can’t get anything off except the black plastic cover. I seem to have two choices at this point, leave it alone or cut the whip the length I want it.

This post is more about what did ur Raptor do to you than what did u do to your Raptor.

I woke up unable to tolerate my full weight on my left foot. So I went to the doctor for an X-ray, because a calcaneus fracture is serious. I don’t have a fracture but I do have a divot in the bone, kind of like a bone bruise. It’ll heal but in the meantime I’m not going to be able to wear flip flops in favor of a real shoe (he really wants me in a space boot) and the suggestion to stay off of it for a few weeks. Doctor was more concerned with my finger dislocating several times throughout my life.

My brain is quietly saying “What’s a little more body work? Cut the wire, take the whole thing off and repair the hole.” Problem is I would likely have to grind the plate off because the three screws won’t even turn.

But today I’m in RICE mode for the heel I played whack a mole with yesterday. I’m beginning to think I might be accident prone.

Finally washed the Raptor after last weeks TN Dirt Devil Run. Been working 16 hour days ever since. Got to sleep late this morning (7:15am!).

Well.........it looks "clean"-er. You can actually see the sparkles in the black paint. That'll last a couple of days. Still need to do it 2 or 3 more times. Enough mud came out from underneath to build a couple of mud castles. I had one of those undercarriage washers in my Amazon cart 2 years ago. I guess it's time to buy it.

Bought some of that Cerakote Ceramic Paint Sealant a couple of weeks ago. Just need @John M BUNMAN to come over and show me how to properly apply it. Don't need no tire shine!

So awhile back i sent the navtv system back cause i had a small issue (feb-‘23)

So i let 4 months go by and then emailed them. No response…

ffwd i emailed them a few more times and finally called when it hit 6-8 month mark. Got a cant figure it out answer. Couple more months called, was told just get some new wire harnesses cause the other “may” be faulty. Well i dont have the money to “try” right now.

3 weeks back. i called and just said send it back ill deal. Well i still haven’t received it back or anything. Called today and was told to leave my number cause the guys not there.

Kinda think im never gonna see my item again. Which sucks i liked having use of the front cam whenever.
After removing it my front cam doesn’t work at all. Haven’t had time to deal with it either.

The story I got from the previous owner doesn’t make a lot of sense. Seems they removed the threaded screw and brazed it together with a non threaded piece and he thinks they also put braze in/on the screws that hold the plate. I don’t know how that last part is possible. But I guess it’s not coming off without taking the fender apart, cutting the wire and putting a new end on. Although that won’t get the plate at the bottom off of the fender. I’m at a loss and have already worked on it for half a day. It appears this has beat me. I’ll move on to other projects since my heel is no longer shooting lightning out of my big toe.
