The story I got from the previous owner doesn’t make a lot of sense. Seems they removed the threaded screw and brazed it together with a non threaded piece and he thinks they also put braze in/on the screws that hold the plate.”
Why would someone do that? these parts are still available for replacement. Ugh. Hope you foot feels better though.

Your guess is as good as mine. I can only say that is not the only crazy thing they did or rather didn’t do with this truck. For example, they started with the refurbishment and then quit, sold me the truck and gave me all of the parts they had bought up to finish the refurbishment. I am not complaining because I got a very sweet deal. And unless someone comes along with enough cash to outright pay for a brand new R it’s mine forever.
And I’m up and going, out and about, with a lot less pain today. Thanks.

Does anyone else here have these Shelby methods? Trying to get a feel for the rarity of these. They appear to be 304s with a machined ring so really the only Shelby part is the center cap. Got the truck out for pics too finally and man it looks sweet. Probably going to ditch toolbox soon in favor of shell
