Good to know. I already have it mounted, and 95% of my driving is on road, so I'm going to give it a shot. Its still day & night better built than the swing case it replaced.
After reading your post, I may make an angle bracket to bolt the top corner of the box to the bed side upright. The more flex I can take out of it, the better it should hold up (I think). Suppose time will tell.
I used an Andersen WDH with my Raptor and was amazed by how well the hitch did. No popping sounds when going in reverse or hard turns, and anti-jounce built in. Worth a look if for some reason this setup doesn't end up meeting your expectations.Finally installed a Curt Weight Distribution Hitch. No more riding on the bumpstops.
