With all the guys who have had their build week pushed from 12-Dec to 19-Dec, I'm going to assume it's a pretty safe bet the next batch of VIN's coming out will probably be pushed too. Does anybody know if the Ford plant shuts down the week between Christmas and New Years? That would be nice. I'd really hate to have a build the week of 26-Dec. I'd rather not have my truck built that week with employees distracted with new gizmos and gadgets they got for Christmas, or out partying that week, or less people at the plant, not to mention the veterans with more time off probably off that week, and all the low people on the totum pole covering that week. Yeah just what I want all newbs building my truck lol.

I'll settle for the week of 2-Jan. They have new years day to recover from getting hammered, and can start the year off right buliding my truck lol.

Bakflip f1, bakbox, and bedrug from Morrie. And a set of weathertech digital floor liners, craven stubby, and fox racing contour mud flaps. Oh and a deezee tailgate strut. Clear bra will be scheduled for the weekend I get the truck :peace:

Reptar, can you send over a link where you got the weathertechs? Thanks. I'm really kinda disappointed with the mudflap selection that's out there. Unless I haven't found 'em all yet. I've seen the Contours, ProFits and Vortexes. Shame weathertech doesn't make a set for the Raptor.

i was planning on getting it clear bra as well but have no place to get it done maby if i tag along you could get a discount cause i absoulty an not dealing with rock chips man it destroyed the front of m other truck :waytogo:

We had it done on my fiance's 5.0 and it turned out awesome, a year later looks like it was just installed, and ZERO marks in the clear bra. 15k miles and she drives so far up people's azzes on the road it drives me NUTS, and she's already gone through one windshield from taking a rock from driving so far up people's rears lol. So that clear bra has been put up to some beating and still looks perfect. Going to have the same guy do mine. He goes by the name "Reno", she found him by searcing on several forums, he was the main recommended name she found. He mostly does high end exotics, lambo's, ferrari's, etc. Doing her 5.0 was outside the typical type of vehicle he does, but it was brand spanking new, so the bumper was perfect still, and his prices are really fair. It was $300 for the headlights, foglights, and full front bumper. We didn't do the mirrors or leading edge of the hood because come on, 90% of rock chips are on the bumper, 9% are on the front edge of the hood, and 1% even make it to the mirrors. So we saved a big chunk just doing the headlights & bumper, and don't have the ugly edge of the bra ending on the hood. You don't see any of it because there's no exposed edges, the entire bumper is done, and the entire headlight. I'll take eliminating 90% of rock chips, and accept the 10%, and not have the hood look like it was keyed 100% LOL. Oh and he also gave us a spare set of headlight films, spare fog films, and an extra sheet of material (I used that on parts of my rollcage in my race truck). And he'll come out if anything needs to be touched up. It started to peel up in the very corner of where the cornerlamps are recessed, so he came out, trimmed it up, all free of charge. He was even willing to redo that entire piece for free, but we told him just trim it back out of the recessed contour a bit and that'd be plenty.

Anyway, he does mobile installs. I'm not sure if he has a garage he does them in himself. He did the 5.0 in our garage. I'm hoping my Raptor fits. Width/length wise isn't a problem, I'm just concerned about height if it will fit through the door. If it does, you're more than welcome to head on down and park it in my garage while he works his magic after mine is done. We may be able to get a deal doing 1 right after the other in the same location. Even if it doesn't fit, he may be okay with just pulling the front end in, and I'll staple up a big blanket or something to block any wind from coming in. Thats the only bad thing with geting the truck in January, cold + clear bra's makes the install more of a PITA.

does unscheduled allocation mean there's open spots for trucks to get built that week?

So the week of 26-Dec is a down week, and week of 19-Dec has open spots for trucks to be built?

I got the weathertech digital floor liners directly from weathertech's website.

For mudflaps I didn't like the weathertech ones, too generic cheapie looking. didn't like the vortex ones either, way too cheesy IMO. I wasn't totally crazy about these ones, but it was the lesser of all evils. Not a cheapie rubber flap from pepboys, relatively low key, and the fox logo is pretty cool to tie into the fox shocks on the truck. Plus they should look nice on my blue flame truck.

On a whim today I decided to call SVT and they said I had a VIN#! :peace:

1FTFW1R68CFA47686.. The sheet pulled from the dealer shows me as "locked-in" by no further status. To be honest I have no idea how to read their sheets.. lol.

SVT said their system showed a production date of next week however there is no window sticker yet in the system so I'm a bit skeptical.

Either way, I have a VIN and that's progress!

Good luck to everyone else. There is hope!

NY - Dude... The sales guy is less than on top of his game with respect to watching for my VIN. He's a really nice guy but he's not nearly as responsive as some of the others I've heard about. He's two minutes from my house though so that makes up for it. I'll go to the bigger dealership in the next city for service.

Blukrom - I ordered on October 19th so I was more than a little surprised to hear I had a VIN, I wasn't expecting anything before early January/February at the earliest. I was actually counting on that for saving more for my down but I'll make it work either way.

SVT said it was scheduled for production next week however I can't get a window sticker to pop so I'm not really sure if that's in fact true.

Either way, it seems it will be build and has a VIN so I can relax a bit.

Yeah, not to disappoint, but I think you were given some bad info. Its not going into production next week. The last 5 digits of my VIN is 35XXX which is approx. 12,000 trucks before yours and mine is scheduled for the week of 12/19. But at least you got your VIN!

Oh that doesn't disappoint me at all. That actually works better because it'll both allow me to save up more cash and the delivery will be after I come back to town from Christmas.

As I said, I didn't plan on it until Jan / Feb so it's all gravy.

Thanks for the info!

Interesting....mine is 45xxx and it is supposedly being built the week of the 12th. So says the SVT guy this past Wednesday.
