Two week trip to the Strip

Did a little trip to the Arizona strip earlier this month. Things didn't start out so well.

*********** had four mostly worn-out Hankooks on ... this was five miles from our campsite.
Which was nice.

He drove back into Mesquite while we went hiking. When we got back to camp ... he was changing a tire. Yup. Cheapskate bought one new tire. So he drove back into Mesquite and bought three more. Took him all day. Too funny. Anyway, we spent another night in the same spot.

We took all possible precautions because covid and we are super woke. But people left us strictly alone. Go figure.

We visited one of Bunman's stomping grounds

After that, it was just rocks

And sunsets

And ruins

And more rocks

And trees. Including the biggest piñon pine I've ever seen.

I saw a couple of hōrny toads. Little ones. And a sidewinder. Almost stepped on the little bästard. And a king snake that really really wanted a piece of me. But I think I stepped on him, so I had it coming. Scared the crap out of me when I noticed movement down between my feet ...
