That's what I heard as well..however the second one in line is a FRF member, the order which is claimed to be 'in the plant'. I sent him a PM earlier asking if he had heard from Ford Service on FB and/or what they told him as it would certainly be a lot earlier than what most are hearing. I will say though, my salesman is a long time ford salesman and like 75 yrs old, or at least he sounds like it. He could be a bit off but thus far he has continually been surprising me by being on the ball.

My dealer has given me my order code but is refusing to give me their dealer code. Thinking of taking my business elsewhere as they want me to call them weekly for updates and frankly I don't have time to spend 15mins on the phone every week. Anyone else running into this?

Not at all. Not sure why they would do that.

Do you have a Build Sheet or DORA? It'll be on there.

I do not, just the original printout verifying my options when I placed my order and deposit. It was a weekend so they don't place their orders till Monday. I thought it was foolish as well, stay tuned.

Dealer just called with the code and it works with Ford Service, yahoo!!!!! Only issue is that my order isn't showing up yet, guess I'll check Friday again as maybe there is some sort of processing delay due to me being Canadian. Gotta say, this process is painful and truly sucks. I know it's going to take 4-6 months but at least I'd like to know that they have my order.

Our Ford sales rep was in today. I questioned her if she knew anything about any potential extra Raptor allocation coming available before the end of the build year. She said they were told the allocation handed out at the beginning of the year was for the entire build year.

So let's assume she's correct and that Ford won't be handing out any further allocations for the remainder of the 2017 model year. Does that mean that once a dealership's allocations are spent, they simply can't get any more, or can they submit orders and hope that normal allocation-based orders are weak for a period of time such that their non-allocation orders might get filled ? Do they, and prospective owners, have any chance at all after those initial allocations are used up ?

My dealer told me the other day in conversation that I 'got the last one they can get'. I asked how he knew, and he said he tried to order another one for a customer but ford denied it and said they got their max. What he didn't say was, for how long.

As of right now we will not get any more allocation for the year according to Ford. So when our 4th order is built we are done. If for some reason demand dies off late in the build year and dealers start having trucks sit on their lot, there is a slim chance extra allocation might come available. If a dealer doesn't have an order in the system but has an allocated unit ready to pull their rep will call them. If the dealer happens to say I have a few units on the ground and don't want another one. Well that unit will get handed out to someone else. I'd say the likeliness of that happening this year is slim.

We can order as many units as we want, but if we don't have allocation those orders will just sit there and never get pulled.

Ford won't deny a unit if you put an order in. What he may have done was called his rep trying to get allocation for another one and was told no.

So I got a surprising call from my dealer today on a non raptor related topic. Then at the end of the voicemail he tells me (I'm third in line to get the raptor) that 'the first one we ordered has already been built, and the second one is 'in the plant now' ' ....and that mine should be scheduled soon. Everything I've seen on here has oct build dates so this was surprising. Don't shoot the messenger, just relaying what my sales guy said..but I wonder if Ford could be sandbagging a bit and is already making them... perhaps the first one is a dealer stock order and not retail.

I believe the guy who told you that was either lying or is crippled too high for crutches. Job 1 for the REGULAR 2017 F150s hasn't come up yet. No way their, or anyone else's, Raptor is built.
