So the dealer called with an update over the weekend. Ford engineers are having them replace a Speed Sensor located inside the transmission. My dealer does not have the part in stock and it needs to be shipped to them. Should have more info Monday or Tuesday.

I also have a 10/27 build, can I ask how many miles your truck has on it now and how many did it have when you picked it up? I have 700 on mine and knock on wood no issues. My truck did have a lot of paper work in it showing things that where checked and a dash reflash, and transmission reflash card, and a paper showing it was driven afterwards. Man I hope they get you rolling soon, I flat out Love my truck! This thing is nothing short of a Beast, want to drive it all the time! Taking it to the mountains Tuesday and Wednesday this week, can not wait! Good luck Bother, hang in there, it will be great!

I picked it up new from the dealer with 89 miles. Transmission failure occurred at 185 miles. Pulled into dealer and dropped it off with 195 miles.

I'm heading out to Vegas in two weeks. Even if the truck is fixed before then, I'm a bit nervous about taking it. 500 mile round trip. Such a sad thing to admit really.

I had a new diesel truck with less than 500 miles on it that had some serious issues and I know the feeling. Once something like that happens its always in the back of your mind if it will happen again.

One more update on mine. After a new solenoid and sensor didn't fix the problem, they now think it's a bad throttle body and that part should arrive tomorrow. According to the salesman's text: "Ford engineers are saying it's a throttle body so they are going to overnight the part. They said it's been common with the 10 speed transmission."

Wow... I am sorry to hear of this problem ballooning into them throwing parts at it!
Existing ecoboost trucks have had this same throttle body problem... mimics engine misfire too. This was the ecoboost bag of worms I was afraid of. Sorry about this!

Yeah, that makes more sense. I'm gonna have to ask for full documentation on all of this work. From what I just read, if they can't fix the problem on 3 tries, this would qualify for Oregon's lemon law. Not that I'm interested in filing a claim or anything. I wonder how that would even work as far as getting a replacement vehicle from Ford for a truck that's basically sold out.
