I have some normal large air train horns from ebay. I will try to set these up with the Nathan P3 and the K3 and make a video to compare.

I'm curious to, I have the 240 kit. I mounted my horns in same location, but to the skid plate and sideways. I can drop the whole thing pretty easily and was able to mount them inside the house too, lol

^^^ Mine is the conductor's 240 as well. Will definitely put air horns on my next vehicle too haha

Just as an FYI, I had a nice set of train horns in my 2010. I purchased them from Train Horns of Texas, dealt with a guy there, Jason. Very knowledgeable. I mounted the horns to the beam directly in front of the spare and had a small tank under the passenger running board. I hooked the switch up for the compressor to the number one aux switch and the horn itself to the number two. Nice sounding, I took it off before I sold the truck. Not sure if I am going to install on the 2013 when it gets here.

I can't wait for one of you idiots to get pulled over and given a ticket.. I see someone blow one of those and I will report it. Just be advised that with cell phones you are going to get busted sooner or later...

I wish I had something more than stock and quite a bit less than air horns....something worthy of a Raptor.

how was the bracket made to support the horns i am looking to the same thing just dont know what materials you have used if you could help it would be great

1/8" thick aluminum. I used 1" x 1" angle for the P3 mount. I used 1" flat aluminum for the K3 mount because I added a second support to mount the other horn closer to the front to allow more room to get to the oil filter. I can't remember for sure, but I think there were holes already in the chassis I used to mount the aluminum. If you don't have the ability to tap a for a bolt, a large self tapping screw does work. I would still pre-drill first.

What horns are you going to mount?
