Traded in the TRD PRO

[Residual Boulders]

Traded in the TRD Pro for my first non- Toyota vehicle. Had to wait a few months to get one with no graphics or decals in Leadfoot because i'm a little boring like that. Certain things I'll miss about the Toyota but it might just be what i've been used to for 25 yrs. Timed the arrival of a new ARE top just right so we can keep our ski gear dry on trips through winter.

So far, I'm stoked. Comfort, performace and tech is much improved over the TRD PRO. The Raptor is more exciting to drive.

Im on the verge of swapping out my TRDPro 4Runner, also waiting on a LF no graphics....love my Toyotas, but I am a long time raptor drooler and can't wait.....

Nice, a buddy of mine has a Tacoma TRD pro,.. honestly.. I couldn't tell much of the different from a fully loaded Tacoma. Anyways, he traded it for a Raptor after the sat in mine last month . I'm sure you would love it too

thanks! It’s real nice to have during the winter when you need to haul things and want to keep them dry.

FYI to anyone considering a top though, my TRD had a leer with Thule bars. New top is an ARE with Yakima bars. Both Are the newer aero bars. The Thule was quiet. I was immediately disappointed in the Yakima. Sounds like I have a teapot on the burner in the back seat soon as I get over 30 mph. I removed the bars and the whistle was gone. Tomorrow I’m going to put the Thule bars on the ARE to see if my theory that the Yakima tower design is the cause of it.

Update: swapped for Thule bars and whistle is gone.

I traded a Tacoma TRD Pro in for the first Ford I have had in a LONG time... the Raptor is 3times the truck the TRD Pro is.... there is NO substitute for a Raptor... If you can do the Raptor Assault its a BLAST

Not a bad drive from WY to raptor assault. It will give you an even greater appreciation for the raptor. Congrats I have a 2018 lead foot and love the color.

@Dustan & @RadRaptor yes i was just looking at dates for the Assault school, just a few hours drive from here. I can't see a reason not to do it.
