...Personally I wish the Raptor had the Eco. I love the quite ride, the drone of the Raptor engine/exhaust gets old and I am seriously thinking about sound lining it...Driving around in the Eco with the windows down is definitely more of a pleasure than the Raptor, even with the windows up the Raptor is just loud...

I'm sorry but I just find this whole comment nothing short of hilarious :ROFLJest: you knowingly buy a raptor and than complain that it does exactly what it is built to do...haha, Thanks for the laugh my friend

WOW, I agree with Frogger22!! Seems to bring the question of why did he spend the money for a Raptor? Big Truck, Big Stance, Big Block and Big Noise!!!

Perhaps its just me but I think the raptor is a blast to drive with the windows down and even better driving in manual mode and keeping the gears low so its even sounds that much better.

But think about the gas mileage!

Please. I had a 2008 Dodge MegaCab that had worst mpg then this one and that was when gas was at its highest. Got a F-150 5.0L and it was a little better then this Raptor that with my driving, getting around what the Dodge was getting, 10mpg. The whole mpg thing is a big sore spot that just makes me laugh when people want to good mpg out of a truck. Also see folks here in the mpg thread talking about how good they got, so a while back I started a thread on how low can we get the mpg and be proud of it!!! LOL

Could not agree with RDFTS more!!! I went from a F350 duallie 4wd, to this. When folks ask mileage, and for some ******* reason they do, I just say F to E, then go back to F. Last I looked there were over 150 pages on the gas mileage thread that made for some funny reading :ROFLJest:. If mileage is the main concern, I think there is a Smartcar Forum somewhere!!

Yeah a lot of my buddies have mentioned the infamous kinks of the first year models. I thought the same thing about the suspension and weight. I'm not anti Eco, but I love the 6.2.

yeah, methinks twin trubs on a 6.2 'll make eco-crushing power and get near eco gas mileage doing it. Check out this thread: My Hellion Twin Turbo Raptor gets 643RWHP

Yer gonna loose money in the exchange either way unless you can unload the 14 SE now...taking advantage of a depleted market.

But again, I think the 6.2 is a better starting platform if yer a motor-modder. If you just wanna buy it and drive it, maybe sell the SE now and get the '17 when (if) its offered. Note the "if"--you never know what the big car companies are gonna do.
