Have you considered any suspension upgrades?

Why? I get the whole NA thing, but really to me a supercharger is a viable option. The reason I have the money I have is because I don't spend it senselessly. Other then personal opinion, is there a reason that a supercharger is not a viable option?
Though there are desert race trucks that are forced induction and do fine, I've heard too many horror stories about FI trucks having major issues off-road, especially in very dusty/sandy areas. That's my take. For me $ better spend on internal engine components
Because F/I builds heat in optimum conditions - off road wheeling only makes heat buildup worse. The only way I would consider running F/I in the conditions the Raptor was designed for would be centri or even better, turbo and I'd have forged internals.
There are several Raptors that have had engine fires because of running top mount superchargers in very high load conditions.
I have considered some suspension upgrades, but I want power first. I have a pretty good idea of what I want on that end. Part of my thing is that I don't want to mess with the day to day driveability of the truck by messing with the suspension in an unmeasured way. Right now, if we go somewhere, my wife would rather go in the Raptor then her 13 Avalon, if nothing else, just for the ride, and the Avalon isn't bad.
Bet my Raptor has a better street ride than yours, not to mention off road.
.
So a 600hp na motor runs cooler than a 600 FI motor?
If this is always true then why did Ford make the ecoboost? Why do desiel trucks idle all day no issues? I know these are turbos but the tech that's out now with upgraded cores and heat exchangers its all good. If you beat on anything it's gonna get hot.
An N/A engine can run hot just like anything else if not built for the conditions it operates in.
F/I engines DO generate more heat, that's why intercoolers are needed. The Eco isn't a very good example because it's designed for forced induction the 6.2 is not. You'll notice on the Eco Baja racers they ran HUGE intercoolers and large charge piping to reduce the intake temps.
Idling all day is a far cry from running at 5 grand for hours on end.
I never said you couldn't run F/I off road, I said you had to be smart about it - forged internals, large FMIC and a well designed cooling system are mandatory.
The reason that there are large heat exchangers is because engines run better with cooler air. It has nothing to do with the heat an engine generates.
An unavoidable side-effect of forced induction is that compressing air, as stated in the first law of thermodynamics, raises its temperature .[1] As a result, the charge density is reduced and the cylinders receive less air than the system’s boost pressure prescribes. The risk of detonation, or "knock", greatly increases. These drawbacks are countered by charge-air cooling, which passes the air leaving the turbocharger or supercharger through a heat exchanger typically called an intercooler. This is done by cooling the charge air with an ambient flow of either air (air-air intercooler) or liquid (liquid-to-air intercooler). The charge air density is increased and the temperature is reduced. In this way an intercooler can greatly increase the ability to run higher absolute compression ratios and take full advantage of using compressors in series. The only drawback of intercooling is its mass and volume of the cooler along with the associated plumbing and piping.
There is a difference between a TC and a SC engine.
You run a SC engine set up for high HP on our place in Eddy County HM it is going to well imagine this---after just one day and the outside temps are over 110 you open the hood and everything is white!! I mean everything!! Do this on a constant basis or even close to it you are asking for trouble. Inagine what the HE will look like after enough of that horrid fine dust coats it over and over--can you cay Heat Will Not Be Exchanged very well. It is a real bitch to get it washed off completely as well.
