To supercharge or not???

But if there is an air filter that is functioning properly, how does the risk increase over a NA engine?

FI sucks in more air, thus sucking more dust in to the filter. A supercharged filter is going to plug much quicker.

Nobody is saying you can't run offroad with a supercharger, it's just much easier and simpler NA.

coming from a supercharged Gwagen I have been looking into getting a supercharged Raptor, great thread and lots of good feedback. No supercharger on a Raptor for me afterall.

Actually it's now 675 fwhp with Whipple now only using the larger intercooler.

And there are quite a few Whippled Raptors off-roading with no issues and having a blast.

Just in case anyone is interested,

Chip Foose just did a Whippled F-150 (but it looks like a Raptor, I'm not sure now)
that's using a ****-Water injection and custom Tune that adds another 50 fwhp so that's 725 fwhp.

Now, when you read the article it says 600hp, but I have called Whipple today about more info on the ****-Water system,
and they said the numbers are not correct in the article.
