Any regrets ? I got a quote for Modesta BC-04 $1999 + $495 prep work. Higher than I was hoping to spend. I go off-roading a few times a year while hunting. It generally results in mud all the way to the roof

thanks

That quote sounds in the ballpark for a new(ish) vehicle. Depending on the condition of the paint - age, storage, care - the cost for paint correction/prep will go up. My '19 was less than a year old and only had 3700 miles on it, always garaged so it was only a couple hundred IIRC.
I love the ease of cleaning, just foam it and spray it off, dry with micro fiber. I've never been in to waxing so ceramic was a perfect choice for me.

Mines been on for a couple years and has not needed touched up yet. I don’t seem to have any swirls in the paint so I like that as well as it beads water well. Also not having to wax it every couple months is great to me! Foam cannon, dry, and every couple months spray ceramic booster on it, wipe it off, and it is like a mirror.

I had Ceramic Pro done, and I love it. There were a few heavy winter snows where the snow actually left the truck spotless when it melted off. A couple of times in the winter when it was really filthy I just took it to a spray and wash and sprayed it with clear water, drove it at 70 for a few minutes, brought it home and toweled the glass, and it looked like I had gone crazy detailing it.

Do you have any experience with doing paint correction on your own? I did my truck for less than $100 and a weekend of time. It’s not that difficult.

If your truck is Black than I’d pay someone to do it...haha

That seems a bit high for the ceramic treatment. I had it done on mine the day after I bought it, so I wasn't charged for any paint correction and sweet talked him into $600 including tip (talk to me @Oldfart). But, paint correction is the most important part.

I did my wife's car myself, because I don't like it. It's a Camry hybrid, which is only a step away from a Prius.

90% of the work was paint correction, using a clay mitt and buffing with various compounds. To do it correctly takes time. The actual application of the ceramic finish was easy and relatively quick. I think I spent around $200 on materials for the whole job.

On my Raptor, I will have the experts do paint correction and may consider doing the ceramic coating myself. Mobile expert so I can finish it of without contamination.

I got to reading the warranty for Ceramic Pro the other day and contacted them to verify - you have to take it in annually to have an inspection/touch up to keep the warranty valid. They update the Carfax at the time of service as well, $160.

Thanks fellas. Sounds like it may be worth it. The BC-04 coating is supposed to last 5-7 years.

hahahaha

I have done paint correction several times and own two DA buffers. I had to do it this past summer when my ******** let mud dry. Once I removed it, there was heavy swirls.

With 3 kids, I don’t have the time or desire to do the entire truck lol
